A good boss understands that their employees sometimes have more power than they think. They have so much knowledge about the inner workings of the company, and in some cases, actual access that they may need after they’re fired or resign. A bad boss acts on impulse and deletes everything associated with them before they even walk out the door.
A recent thread started by Twitter user @itkeekz has people sharing stories about how their bosses majorly screwed up after firing an employee. It started when @itkeekz’s boss deactivated his coworker’s email too quickly after quitting and didn’t realize it controls his entire company calendar so now all of those events for the next 3 years are gone. What. A. Nightmare.
